When does Agents of Shield season 2 start in 2014?

Following the announcement earlier this summer that Marvel’s action-drama had been renewed for another series, ABC has now set Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D’s season 2 release date for Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 9|8c.

Though not yet officially confirmed, it’s believed that like the original season, series 2 of SHIELD will air for a total of 22 episodes, with a mid-season break. This broadcast schedule should therefore take season 2 well into 2015.

As usual with Marvel, their giving away very little at this point with regards to plot details or spoilers, but viewers should expect some interesting new arrivals to the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization.

Though a UK date is currently still to be announced, it has been confirmed that SHIELD will indeed be returning to Channel 4 for a second season. Hopefully for British fans, the show will again begin in the UK shortly after its US premiere.
