When does Homeland start again in 2014?
Showtime have now officially set the premiere date of Homeland season 4 for Sunday, October 5, 2014 at 9:00pm ET/PT. Fans of the hit drama should prepare to see some big changes this season, with regards to both the shows plot and central characters.
With actor Damian Lewis having now departed the series, most of this years plot will focus on events outside of the US, in such countries as Afghanistan and Pakistan. Following the death of Nicholas Brody, focus will be shifting to Claire Danes character, Carrie Mathison, who’s now been assigned to a CIA Counterterrorism Center in an unstable region of Central Asia.
Moving away from its original home of North Carolina, the new series is currently being filmed in Cape Town, South Africa.
This season of Homeland is expected to give viewers an insight into the lives of those US operatives left somewhat isolated, following America’s withdrawal from these former war zones.
Judging by Showtime’s newly released teaser trailer (above) and the fact its plot is switching to these highly dangerous and volatile locations, the fourth season of Homeland promises to deliver more action than any previous series.
Sticking with the formula of the first three series, season 4 of Homeland is scheduled to air on Showtime over 12 episodes. Going by previous years, this would see the season finale airing around mid-December, 2014.
