The Voice Season 8 premiere date and time released by NBC. Plus Spring 2015 judges lineup announced.
When does the new season of The Voice start in 2015?
NBC have now officially released The Voice season 8 premiere date and time, with the new Spring 2015 series airing at 8:00pm on Monday, February 23. The four coaches have also already been confirmed for the shows return.
Who are The Voice USA season 8 judges?
The coaching line-up for the Spring 2015 series of The Voice has been confirmed as Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams and returning mum Christina Aguilera. This means the only change from series 7 is the exit of Gwen Stefani, to be replaced by Xtina.
The names were announced by host Carson Daly during an appearance on the Today show in October, 2014.
As is often the case when coaches take time out from the NBC show, Gwen is leaving to focus on her own music career and will be promoting a new solo album. Her first solo record since ‘The Sweet Escape’ in 2006, the album was partly produced by fellow Voice coach, Pharrell.
So with this series coaches already named as Blake, Pharrell, Adam and Christina, anyone hoping to see a comeback to the big red chairs for either Usher, Cee Lo Green or Shakira, will at best need to wait for season 9 of The Voice in the fall of 2015.
But having now already appeared as an advisor on the show, don’t be surprised to see Taylor Swift named as a full on judge someday for an up-coming season. After all, the singing superstar does have blonde hair – a seemingly essential prerequisite for becoming a female coach.
